ANTANANARIVO
MARCH 1st 2025
The exhibition Memoria : récits d’une autre Histoire [Memoria: accounts of another History] is coming to an end, having welcomed over 130,000 visitors since its opening in April 2024. This traveling Panafrican exhibition, curated by Nadine Hounkpatin and Céline Seror, explores collective memory and diverse histories through the works of 22 artists from 14 African countries and their diasporas.
To mark the exhibition’s closing, Fondation H is hosting a discussion on March 1st from 10:00 on wards, featuring Professor Jacqueline Ravelomanana, historian and lecturer specializing in the history of education, alongside Céline Seror, co-curator of Memoria, titled Des Mémoires silencieuses à l’Histoire partagée [From silent Memories to a shared History].
Following the discussion, the public is invited to take part in the workshop Collecter et partager les mémoires sur post-it [Collecting and sharing memories on post-it], inspired by Pensées au carré, a work by French-Malagasy artist Barbara Portailler.
